Fun answer to a dumb question - gun manufacturers do, in point of fact, collect subsidies. Remington is particularly good at it.

Gun manufactures employ the same types of tactics in influencing government that oil companies and big tobbacco do. They are not concerned with public safety and public health anymore than the fossil fuel industry is. It is all about protecting profits and expanding the market.
Did it occur to you that those industries are not SUPPOSED to be concerned with public health and safety? Not their bailiwick.

Thanks for the update Mcfly. It still amounts to "Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should."
The NRA and gun factory's wheelhouse is not public safety.
If you understand that, then you have no business castigating these industries for doing what they're supposed to do.
As an aside, when you call me 'Mcfly', you realize that you're casting yourself in the role of Biff, right? Odd move for someone who
claims to have been bullied.

Just heard about a road rage shooting, the asshole shot through the back of a car went through the trunk, and booster seat and killed a kid.
