Nobody wants to work anymore

The wife is working mandatory overtime, to many people out due to covid in Canada and India.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

The fact remains though that it was easier to hire people there a year and half ago when the unemployment rate was in the four than it is today when it's in the eights. I think it's rough to hire people everywhere, regardless of how difficult it may have been at any other unemployment rate at some other time. Alot happened to people who missed full paychecks and employment at any time over the last year - alot of things made them less employable and in some cases utterly unemployable regardless of their work ethic or drive. I guess, with respect to benefits, it's nice if you can get it - and it's enough to live on all by it's lonesome. Might even make corpus christi bearable.

The rules of capitalism say that if a business can't compete it should go out of business. Part of running a competitive business is hiring, paying, and retaining competent workers. If they can't do that, then bye bye. Don' t tell me about capitalism when you start fixing prices comrade... Labor has a price. In capitalism supply and demand fix prices. Not some government drone with a halfassed notion about what is " fair". McDonalds only paying $2 an hour? Hint - find someplace paying more. The companys that want better workers do that.... If you are a better worker there' s somebody looking to hire you at a price you both can agree on. RE: Nobody wants to work anymore

Yeah, labor has a price like any other product...and the labor provider sets it, not the labor consumer.
If you can't turn a profit and pay your employees...you're bad at business, or your business model is bad. You're free to insist otherwise, and wish for a world in which the mc'ds pays two dollars a day to migrants and other serfs - but that's nothing more or less than corporate welfare....comrade. Society footing the bill for this or that dipshit profiteer who can't do burgers good.

Tell your emloyer what he is going to pay you - and see what happens. Tell him - "I get "X" dollars OR ELSE! Seriously. Try that. Tell us what happens. In capitalism the buyer and seller AGREE on a price. RE: Nobody wants to work anymore

And if the purchaser does not agree to pay, he doesn't get the product. Why are we pretending that you believe in capitalism, as you extoll the virtues of corporate welfare - when in mere reality it isn't on account of anything you believe in.. rather, your general misanthropy, which leads you to this position?
You're an asshole who has people in mind who you believe to be worth 2$ - or less. Is there anything else to see here?

Quit being a digital idiot. Yes - I believe in capitalism. It' s the only horrible option that works efficiently. But NO - I don' t believe in corporate welfare - and you're being a shit suggesting that one must go with the other... and yes -I have seen people who were worth $2 an hour. And less. Puppy - I started working for $1.35 an hour. |
