RE: Pipeline affecting most of the east coast.
Wait, so if everything should be gas powered, then why don't we fill our tiolet tanks with gas? I mean, think about it, arn't we leaving gas behind when we take a dump?

People are morons. Waiting until there is a shortage and THEN going out to buy......

Here' s a hint people.

Buy gasoline when the price is low.

And before you go off parroting the bullshit someone told you - "gasoline goes bad in a few months" --- let me clue you in.

That is utter bullshit - and I know this from EXPERIENCE - and many times - the latest being less than a half hour ago. I just started a 2001 Saturn SC2 that had been sitting in an unheated garage for 21 months with the same gas in the tank and it fired right up and ran perfectly. Almost 2 years.

Reason - it is a closed fuel system as are almost all fuel injected cars. Gasoline only breaks down in a vented storage condition.

If you keep it in a sealed steel container - like a 55 gallon drum - it will keep well over 2 years.

I know. I have been doing it for over 30 years - and never had a problem - and never wasted my money on any stabilizing additives.....

Now - your lawn mower is a different story. It' s vented. Gas can go bad in under a year.

So Ziploc baggies aren't a good idea?  Huh I figured they'd be safer than a grocery bag.

That’s good information. Now, all I need is a 55 gallon steel drum and a reason to store 55 gallons of petrol for two years.

I simply can't understand the thought process behind filling a plastic grocery bag with gasoline. If I purchase a container of milk and it tips on it's side and leaks into the bag, I will end up with milk in my car that leaked out of the bag.

I'm waiting for the stories of houses that blew up because someone made it home with these bags-o-gas and decided to store it in the bathtub.

There’s already one of some fuckwit that blew up his Hummer by transporting petrol in the back.
