Religious people get very little reps, it's xenophobia and religionism.

You should go look at his rep list, currently totaling at 31. I'm even on it as a +1. Interestingly enough, you aren't on the list of people who repped him. Coffee

This thread kind of reminds me of the Bears fan who complains about getting no respect in a Packers bar, TBH.

That's because Wooters will only rep the right kind of christian (ie one that slavishly follows every pronouncement he makes).

PS what's with all the hooing? You'd swear we have a Quantum Leap convention going on!

like an atheist says: "hoo !", you find 10000 people repping them for saying just "hoo".

Religious people get very little reps, it's xenophobia and religionism.

As has been pointed out, it's a partisan site. And there is clearly a double standard. And there are a number of people who don't do much more than type anti-religion slogans -- this is considered acceptable; it's a feature of sites like this.

But I think you're wise for engaging with people who disagree with you. Nobody makes progress by closing ranks and nodding along with the chorus.

There are sites where you can get negative rep points also. I always feel like I'm doing best if I'm about 10% in the negative. If people on a partisan site start agreeing with you too much it's a sign you're not challenging yourself.

Aristotle, The Nicomachean Ethics, 1095b, 20-25:

A consideration of the prominent types of life shows that people of superior refinement and of active disposition identify happiness with honour; for this is, roughly speaking, the end of the political life. But it seems too superficial to be what we are looking for, since it is thought to depend on those who bestow honour rather than on him who receives it, but the good we divine to be something of one’s own and not easily taken from one.

Perhaps the real reason is that posts by theists are neither as interesting nor as entertaining as those by atheists.

I know! Considering theists have very fertile imaginations, you'd think they would come up with something, anything, to be worth the consideration of a sceptic and hence a possible rep. (As some theists have).

But sadly, as Bel stated, most read from the same hymn book. But there's also the cool people who get reps anyway because people like them.
It's safe to say that Winter does not posses a bubbly personality. We know he has issues. That's life. Sorry man. In the grand scheme of things, which atheist reps you should be the absolute least of your concerns.

Unconvinced of the wisdom of magic book, the faithful concoct all sorts of hilarious reasons to flog their grievances about their neighbors kudos.

It's a real shame that they don't feel popular with the cool kids, maybe they can talk to god about fixing that?

People are (generally speaking) quick to assume that others don't like them for their religion or race or political view or gender or sexuality, without ever stopping to consider the fact that they're simply unlikeable cunts.

Imagine what kind of empty life do you have to have and what kind of an empty person you have to be in order to have a nervous fit about not being popular enough on some internet forum, and blame other people for it.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Personally I find it sad that one misguided accusation of unfair treatment was all it took for some people to indulge their hatred towards religious people and thereby inadvertantly support the point of the OP.
