This is ironic as he called one of the rescue drivers who helped save those kids who were trapped in that cave in Thailand a pedophile for telling Musk he couldn't use a mini-sub to save the kids.

I disagree.  Musk is smart, but he is also delusional about his abilities and the correctness of his ideas.

Musk has Asperger's.  One way that high-functioning Asperger's differ from "normies" is that they tend to obsess about details over and over.  This makes them good problem solvers.  But, outside of those things they obsess about, they are just regular people.

If I'm not an Aspie, I'm close (it runs in my family). I know of whence I speak. I have been considered a genius at times in my life, but my wife wouldn't agree Smile I'm old enough to recognize that an overactive mind doesn't always lead to correct choices, or competence in other things.

Except Musk is a terrible problem solver and he not even good at the stuff he's obsessed with.

The Satanic Temple sues elementary school as after-school club rejected

Quote:Northern Elementary School in York, Pa., is being sued on the grounds of constitutional violation. The Satanic Temple intends to prove the school board discriminated against the temple by barring the creation of the After School Satan club, despite other organizations being allowed to operate their own programs.

Quote:According to ABC, Northern Elementary School officials made “discrete statements” informing the temple if they removed “Satan” from the club’s name, their chances of being permitted as an after-school program would increase.

There's that pesky 'freedom of religion' thing again.  I wonder if the local Protestant church would be barred from an after school club called 'Jesus and Needlepoint'.

I didn't think I'd like that movie, but it was brilliant.  The characters weren't meant to be identical to anyone.  Rylance wasn't Musk, but he was Musk-like.  Streep wasn't Trump, but was Trumpean.  If we were shown caricatures, I don't think the movie would've worked.

Musk has said, ‘I hope my harshest critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means.’

Prepare for people to test the fuck out of that, Elon.

If the Satanic Temple has involved itself, you can bet the school already has a Good News Club or similar.

To be fair, Elon is a hero to millions. Like if you combined Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
