Being intentionally broad to prove a point and obtuse are not the same. Yes all cancer is a type of cancer, that’s why we categorize things. A shooting is a shooting, whether the bad guy is a criminal killing someone else, or the bad guy is an irresponsible gun owner, or a defective gun that blows up. My point was that they were both in effectively going towards the same goal poorly and not proposing a better solution, hence the broken record syndrome.

Brian legal guns can not be bought like candy. Full stop. That has been shown.

Those guns that can are illegal. Olb putting more guns in the market necessarily leads to more of a chance that legal guns become illegal guns and an increase in non criminal gun deaths. Full stop . That’s been shown as well.

Can we now talk about a better solution than this piecemeal posturing? Probably not here because what’s going on in this thread isnt new news or noteworthy.

But suppose the number of cobras in peoples’ houses steadily increased while the number of cobra bites steadily dropped. It would be unreasonable to take the position that more cobras lead to more cobra bites, wouldn’t it?

Appeals court rules to allow CDC to resume enforcement of cruise restrictions

A federal appeals court blocked a ruling that prevented the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from imposing guidelines for cruise lines to return to operation.

A panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2-1 to stay the order that stated cruise lines were not bound to the CDC's "conditional sailing order" following a lawsuit filed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Last month, Judge Steven Merryday of the Middle District of Florida granted a preliminary injunction suspending the mandatory guidelines for cruise ships through Sunday and allowing ships to depart from Florida with the CDC requirements remaining "as only a non-binding 'consideration,' 'recommendation' or 'guideline' as in the case for other industries such as railroads and hotels."

Katie Hopkins Being Deported For Flaunting COVID Restrictions

Katie Hopkins was out of hotel quarantine and at Sydney Airport Monday — hours after Australian officials announced they were deporting the far-right British commentator for boasting about breaching the country's pandemic rules.

Why it matters: While in mandatory hotel quarantine in Sydney, Hopkins posted a video online in which she railed against lockdowns and joked about breaching the rules by answering the door naked and maskless to people delivering her meals.

• Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation earlier Monday that Hopkins' visa had been canceled overnight and officials would be "getting her out of the country" as soon as arrangements could be made.
