Right-wing media figures are telling their audiences that proposed work requirements for Medicaid will be targeted at men who are unwilling to look for a job, when the actual population most likely to be affected is poor, rural women who are taking care of elderly parents or adult children.

It’s true that there is a group of people who qualify as able-bodied, nonworking Medicaid recipients without a young child who also aren’t enrolled in school. But contrary to conservative punditry, that population is overwhelmingly made up of women (79%), mostly living in rural areas, who are caring for elderly parents or adult children and have low levels of formal education and have recently left the workforce, according to new research from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

My brother is one of them, he's 53, disabled but not enough for SSDI, and no one will hire him. He'd be homeless if my mom didn't own the house he lives in. He gets by doing odd jobs and such.

He will absolutely suffer and die without access to medical care. Medicaid is all he has.

I do agree with her point that depending on AI is probably not a good idea for us peoplefolk.  Broken clocks, etc etc.

What i dont get is this:

Even if i would share some of her (horrible) views, i would never vote for her, because i would never vote for such a complete idiot, no matter if she agreed with most of what i think. I never.would.vote.for.an.idiot.

Please tell me she does not get voted because her constituency doesnt realize she is such an idiot, because.... 

She runs in a constituency so gerrymandered where if she killed half her voters, the other half would still vote her in.
