Not so. Iran is just as worried about the Saudis, despite their recent rapprochement, and there's both religious and ethnic tensions to fuel that rivalry. Not only that, how would you suggest "stripping" Israel peacefully? They will not surrender them short of defeat in war.

Disagree. The mullahs are not reasonable people. Making a retaliatory strike by Israel impossible would simply encourage a first strike by Iran.
