A sad case of Darwinnowing. Things that came out of "our" killing many of the people "over there", and the bomb vest people killing their own people, is that that is also a winnowing of the "stupid" population. The fact is, those people dying probably made the collective IQ higher. I suspect that women (not lowering the collective IQ, but still being forced to suicide bomb) and retarded and/or Down's Syndrome kids being forced to wear suicide vests means that the remaining men (since women and the others rate lower) are resisting that.

ETA: Maybe add in lower religious fervor to get those virgins before one's time. Life is indeed sweet.

Judge Throws Out DeSantis No Mask Mandate Order

Ruling from the bench at the conclusion of a five-day trial, Cooper said that face mask mandates that follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are "reasonable and consistent with the best scientific and medical opinion in this country." He found that the DeSantis administration violated the law when it banned school districts from requiring masks.

Cooper said that in issuing the executive order and rules banning face mask mandates, DeSantis ignored a provision of the law that said school districts are allowed to take actions that are "reasonable and necessary to achieve a compelling state interest."

The judge said he would issue an injunction preventing the DeSantis administration from taking any action against school districts with face mask mandates.

Philippine 'circumcision season' underway after virus delays



Even as circumcision comes under increasing scrutiny elsewhere, with some critics branding it "child abuse", it is rarely questioned in the Philippines and boys face tremendous pressure to undergo the procedure.

Every year, thousands of pre-teens have the operation for free at government or community-sponsored clinics.

But last year, the "circumcision season" was cancelled for the first time in living memory due to the virus outbreak, delaying the milestone for many boys like Gruta.

Left in limbo -- and with their foreskin intact -- the boys have been ridiculed by their male relatives and friends.

After removing their shorts, the youngsters lay down on a table with their legs hanging over the edge and their groin covered by an operating sheet.

Some bit into a facecloth or covered their eyes as they were given a local anaesthetic. The surgeon then went to work.

"I got circumcised because they said I will grow taller and I will get better in sports," said 12-year-old Almer Alciro, who went to another outdoor clinic for his delayed procedure.

Alciro's friends mocked him as "uncircumcised" -- an insult similar to coward in a country where the procedure is a badge of masculinity.

Male circumcision tends to be more common in nations with significant Muslim or Jewish populations, and less so in Catholic-majority places.

Yet around 90 percent of males are circumcised for non-religious reasons in the Philippines, according to World Health Organization data.

Just saw it this morning. I was multi tasking so I get it. And fyi my name is Brian although people mistakenly spell it Bryan. And there are two spellings for Payton/Peyton. 

Point is it is part of American history and a shame it got destroyed.
