This generation will be renamed in the annals of history to be the regret generation for the cheer amount of cringe and regrettable posts to social media/tweets/ tik tocs/etc. it makes.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

I mean the last generation put black people on the back of busses. Made them drink out of separate watering fountains. Everyone has always been super cringe.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

yeah people have been doing bad shit for a bit now. But this generation records it for all time and posterity. Getting shit faced and pranking your boss used to be something that could be done discreetly, now they clamor for likes to post it, just to get fired... or have it held against getting a future job forever... ugh

Bill Shatner is going to space.

He and Anderson Cooper had a very goofy conversation on CNN

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Quote:Rio De Janeiro Police Discover $3.2 Million Nazi Memorabilia Collection During Arrest Of Alleged Pedophile

Rio's civil police said they found more than 1,000 items at the home of the 58-year-old unnamed suspect, including Nazi uniforms, periodicals, paintings, Nazi insignia, images of Adolf Hitler, flags and medals of the Third Reich. They also found guns and ammunition from the era.

The haul was discovered after police went to the man's home to serve an arrest warrant on suspicions he had raped a minor and abused other children in his condominium in the west of the city. The suspect was also charged with illegal possession of a weapon and racial discrimination.

"He is a smart guy and articulate, but he's a Holocaust denier, he's homophobic, he's a pedophile and he says he hunts homosexuals," Luis Armond, the lead detective on the case, told Reuters. "I'm no doctor, but he seems to me an insane psychopath."

Armond estimated a high-ranking Nazi uniform would cost around 250,000 euros.

Armond said a museum would need to be found for the collection.

Fuck the museum, they should destroy all those things.

California has become the first state to outlaw ‘stealthing’, the removal of a condom without your partner’s express consent.

While this is a thoroughly reprehensible practice, I’m not sure how such a law could be enforced.

Why?

I thought we all agreed denying history - like denying that 6 million Jews were exterminated - was a bad thing.....

To pick and choose what should be remembered and what should be forgotten is something we should not allow anyone to do.

Remember all...

Or why bother?

Probably about the same way that other crimes involving sexual consent are: poorly.
