RE: Noteworthy News
Matt Gaetz’ law license is currently suspended for failure to pay his Bar Association dues.

I guess they don’t take Venmo…

Apparently you have never heard about the death by prop gun of Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee.

I am 55, not dead. I don't understand it in that case either.

You realized he hasn’t been convicted of anything, right? You can’t call due process ‘a joke’ simply because Bannon is a scumbag.

Um, nobody is denying him due process. But contempt of court gets you arrested at a minimum. This is far worse.

YOU want to deny him due process. There’s a better than average chance he’ll be arrested, but the process has to be gone through first.

Blank ammunition means there isn’t an actual bullet in the cartridge. Instead, there’s either wadding of some sort, or a bullet-shaped plug (these are needed to keep the powder in place). Very occasionally, either by being fired at very close range or by some defect in the workmanship, the plug can be lethal. It’s rare, but it happens. Same with rubber bullets.

Why do you always insist on putting thoughts in my head that are not there.

NO, I do not. Even with a mere traffic ticket, when  you sign the paperwork after being pulled over,  you are not admitting to guilt, you are just agreeing to show up to your court date. Not showing up for even a traffic ticket is a crime. Showing up to any court case, major or minor, isn't an admission of guilt, it is simply an expectation, when called, accused, or witness, that you show up.

If everyone got to ignore a traffic ticket or court order to show up, there would be no law at all.

If Bannon shows up, he doesn't have to say a word, that is what our 5th is for. But you still have to show up. He committed a crime by ignoring a congressional subpoena. Hillary didn't ignore congress when she was called.

Then why did you say this:

Quote:I am watching the debate over holding Bannon to account. Holy f is this a joke. Bannon should have a ball and chain around his ankle.

The Congressional hearing is part of the due process to which Bannon is legally entitled (because the crime he’s being investigated for is directly related to Congress, they have the jurisdiction to do this). You called this ‘a joke’ and said Bannon should be in prisoner’s restraints - skip the hearing, skip the referral to the Department of Justice, skip the grand jury, and just put him in irons.

What you’re calling for is EXACTLY the denial of due process.

Yes I did say that. He should be arrested for contempt of congress. If I can be arrested for ignoring a traffic court ticket date, he damned sure should be arrested for contempt of congress.

He can (and probably will) be arrested, but that comes later. After the due process stuff you hate so much.
