None of any sites I use on line have my phone number. I prefer to keep it that way.

It's probably not a requirement of the technology that they have your phone number. It would work over the internet via your data connection.

Louisiana Republicans have voted to advance a bill out of committee making abortion from the moment of fertilization a crime, in which the "mother" will be charged with homicide.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The Florida Retirement System invested $300 million in Russian assets. They've now lost $200 million of that. Ron DeSantis oversaw the loss of 2/3 of the pension of the state of Florida. TWO THIRDS!

The only Russian asset still in Florida is Ron DeSantis.

I disremember which of your states did it, but some legislature has removed the term ‘implanted’ from its anti-abortion law. The upshot of this is that the use of medication or surgery to treat an ectopic pregnancy will be counted as murder.

Well, surprise, surprise.

Just read that some conservative states may be going after contraceptives next.

Tell me, why did the northern states fight so hard to keep them?

Seems to me if you have to declare you are not a moron, you are a moron.

Sounds a lot like 'I am not a crook.' to me.

Justice Clarence Thomas is concerned that respect for US government institutions is being eroded due in part to the ‘bullying’ of those institution by people unhappy with decisions made and laws enacted.

Maybe someone should take him aside and explain the First Amendment to him.
