So this nonesense about giving Trump immunity is on and I must say his side has come up with some dumbest arguments I have ever seen

Wow you mean there being consequence for committing horrific and illegal acts might make you think twice about  committing horrific and illegal acts. I'm sorry any illegally action your willing to take should be one your willing to suffer the consequences for and if the only reason your willing to commit these "bold and fearless actions" is you won't suffer any consequences that shows a distinct lack of conviction in  the correctness of the act.

Justice Samuel Alito asked, “If an incumbent who loses a very close, hotly contested election knows that a real possibility after leaving office is not that the president is going to be able to go off into a peaceful retirement but that the president may be criminally prosecuted by a bitter political opponent — will that not lead us into a cycle that destabilizes the functioning of our country as a democracy?”

If you committed criminal  actions in office and are found guilty of committing them you shouldn't  have "a peaceful retirement " you should have to suffer the consequences of your actions.


Numerous presidents have been able to do "bold and fearless actions" without total immunity. The idea that we demand the president act within the law and the framework of basic moral decency is apparently to much to ask.

Aaron Sorkin Is Working on a Jan. 6 Movie: ‘I Blame Facebook’

Aaron Sorkin is bringing the Jan. 6 Capitol Riots to the big screen with a new film.

Sorkin went on to narrow the focus of his blame for the events that day, naming Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as a singular force for making the political climate worse in America.

Although he associates TikTok with the “deterioration of character and standards,” Sorkin said, “I’m not blaming TikTok for January 6th or for the election of Donald Trump.”

“I’m sure that if I learned more about TikTok I would blame them,” he added.
