More guns leads to more gun violence. 

Lets try some simply maths. 

In scenario a) there are 200000000 privately owned guns in the US, in scenario b) there is 1 privately owned gun in the US. In which of those two scenarios do you think the level of gun violence is likely to be higher? Do take your time...oh and if it helps, the gun in scenario b) belongs to a mass murdering psychopath, the answer remains the same...
