To paraphrase Sam -

MOVE TO WHERE THE WATER IS!!!!!!!

That’s also known as ‘kicking the can down the road’. How long do you think Michigan’s water would last if it had to accommodate 40 million Californians?

Boru

A whole lot longer than the water would last in California if everyone from Michigan moved there...

Michigan is looking better all the time.

I don't find this funny at all. You do realize that California provides lots of products, especially crops, the rest of the nation depends on? If you are merely picking on CA because it is a blue state, you are a fool. Our entire planet is a BALL, and every state, every nation lives under the same global trend which is still ultimately connected. Global warming isn't something that affects someone else far away from you.

I've seen days over the past month, where It was actually hotter in Montana than here where I live in NC.  Once in a lifetime you can live with, but the climate volatility is growing worldwide. Wild fires are on the increase. And if humans do not tackle climate change soon, you won't have anything to leave your kids or grandkids.

There are places you prefer over others. We all do.

Get over your need to bash at Biker. He lives in Michigan and is apparently happy there.

Go listen to some ABBA.

Fuxake the shit you go off about.

Got any math to back that statement up?,And Michigan may not have a water shortage but water contamination is an issue as well as infrastructure decay.

It isn’t a case of picking on California. The state has a history of droughts, wildfires, and water shortages, and it isn’t all down to climate change. It’s simply got too many people for that particular resource.

California has always had water issues this is just the natural conclusion of that trend.

Yes it is actually. More human beings require more resources. Globally and evolutionary wise, the world's birthrate has always outpaced death rates. You cant separate the connection of humans worldwide and segment it into geography. You are right, California does have a dense population, but it also provides products to the rest of the nation and world. Just like the recent floods in China are not simply effecting their populations but global commerce as well.

We are inner connected as much as we like to think we are not.

The smoke from the wild fires in 13 states in the west,  as of the past couple of weeks, are reaching the east coast and effecting air quality. Not to mention disrupting commerce and destroying homes and businesses.

You cannot compartmentalize a ball. If one aspect of this planet is suffering, it isn't like you can amputate one arm because you have three other limbs. Global warming is more like a blood cancer. California should be considered the canary in the coal mine. If it can happen there, it can spread.

FYI we have had scientists since the late 1890s whom warned that burning too much fossil fuels would upset our atmosphere.
