Attack on voting
Is anyone talking about the attack on voting that Republicans are now engaging in?
Why is it so?

Nonsense. You lot have a worldwide reputation of extending voting rights to rich, white men.

True, but what I'm asking about is the current rash of new laws the GOP has been pushing through various states. Specifically, laws that restrict absentee voting, vote by mail, ID requirements and the like.

Remember how the GOP bragged about how mail in ballots helped beat Gore in 2000?

That shit just ping pongs back and forth....

Give it time - the Dims will want to enforce ID laws or whatever - if a large voting block shifts to the Pubes side.....

I don't.  But what's your point?

I do, however, know for a fact that the current push for restrictions on voting has been on going since Bush 43 administration.  Allegations of illegal voting and dead people voting resurface every 4 years and every time the data shows nothing significant.  It's a total red herring.

100% speculation.

Based on 100% history.....

Keep in mind - it was in my lifetime that the ( Ds ) supported racial segregation.

If you REALLY think the ( D ) ideals - and the very platform of the party are monolithic and unchanging - you haven' t been on this ball of rock very long.

The values change to garner more votes.

Same is true of all parties.

100% speculation.

It is a total  myth that voter fraud can reach conspiracy proportions. It does happen, but it is rare in all cases, because of the fact that oversight on sight is overseen by both parties, at all polling places and in ballot counting. It is insane and dangerous that the former guy has poisoned the political landscape with his big lie. He won the same swing states, the first time, that both Bush Jr and Obama won. Not to mention that if it was rigged by Democrats, then why did the GOP fair better in down ballot races in his first run?

The real "rigging" is in gerrymandering which the GOP have been masters at for 40 years.

The truth is that the GOP doesn't want to win on ideas or substance, they merely want to select their voters and purge anyone who is not a blind loyalist.

RE: Attack on voting
Just want to point out that ‘voting restriction’ and ‘vote fraud’ are two entirely different things.
