Eurovision fans accuse contest of being 'rigged' to allow Sweden to win to coincide with 50th anniversary of ABBA's victory

Eurovision fans have accused the song contest of rigging the result to allow Sweden to win.

Viewers claim that organisers orchestrated Loreen's victory so that Sweden would host next year coinciding with the 50th anniversary of ABBA's win.

Each of the 26 acts fought to get their hands on the coveted glass microphone trophy, but it was Sweden who stormed to victory, with their act Loreen making history as the first woman to win the competition twice.

But not all were in agreement that Sweden deserved first place and speculated that the competition had been fixed.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Al Pacino, Viggo Mortensen, John Travolta, Shia LaBeouf, Rebecca Pidgeon & Courtney Love Set For David Mamet’s JFK Thriller ‘Assassination’ — Cannes Market

Assassination will retell the fateful murder of John F. Kennedy from the mob’s point of view, reimagining his death as a hit ordered by Chicago mob kingpin Sam Giancana as payback for JFK’s attempt to undermine the mob after they helped get him elected (that thread formed a big part of Oliver Stone’s JFK).

Well, Mamet has gone bonkers for the last 15 years or so.

Joe Rogan floats conspiracy theory about white nationalist march, claims buff and well-dressed marchers must be secret Feds.

Quote:Joe Rogan questioned the legitimacy of a march that took place over the weekend, suggesting that participants looked too suspicious to be white supremacists.

On Sunday, more than a hundred members of the white supremacist group Patriot Front marched through the National Mall in Washington, D.C., wearing masks and holding upside-down American flags.

Commenting on a video of the march during Monday's podcast episode, Rogan said, "Look at these guys, where's the fat people? How come they're all wearing the same clothes?"

He went on to ask, "Have you ever seen anything that looks more like feds?" and promoted the conspiracy theory that the marchers were federal agents in disguise.

"How do they all have like uniform outfits on? They have the same color pants for the most part. Very little variation. They've tan or brown pants, dark blue shirts with a f****** stupid flag on it," Rogan said.

The richest man in the world wants us all to think that capitalism would work fine if it wasn’t for a few Jews.

Quote:Musk Fans Conspiracies About George Soros After Billionaire’s Fund Dumps All Tesla Holdings

Tesla CEO Elon Musk attacked George Soros on Twitter Monday evening, days after Soros’s investment firm disclosed it had sold off its entire holdings of Tesla stock, in remarks that closely mirror right-wing conspiracy talking points about the billionaire.

Musk wrote that Soros does not have good intentions and he wants to “erode the very fabric of civilization,” ending his remark with “Soros hates humanity.”

Your daily reminder that a title like "Stanford professor" is meaningless when they're working on something far outside their field of expertise.

And also "who has researched unidentified aerial phenomena for the U.S. government" is a sensationalized headline made out of a stretch that's wrapped in an exaggeration.

Quote:Stanford professor says aliens are ‘100 per cent’ on earth, US is ‘reverse-engineering downed UFOs’

A Stanford professor who has researched unidentified aerial phenomena for the US government says he believes extraterrestrial intelligence has not only visited earth but “it’s been here a long time and it’s still here”.

Dr Garry Nolan also claimed that whistleblowers who have worked on “reverse-engineering downed craft” had recently given classified testimony to Congress, creating a “hornet’s nest in Washington”.

Dr Nolan, a Professor of Pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine who has published more than 300 research articles and holds 40 US patents, made the bombshell comments during a talk at the Salt iConnections conference in New York on Thursday titled “The Pentagon, Extraterrestrial Intelligence and Crashed UFOs”.

The respected researcher is one of the most accomplished scientists publicly studying the phenomenon, including by analysing the brains of people who say they’ve experienced a UFO encounter.

During the session, moderator Alex Klokus, founder and managing partner of Salt Fund, asked Dr Nolan, “Do you believe that extraterrestrial intelligence has visited planet earth?”

“I think you can go a step further — it hasn’t just visited, it’s been here a long time and it’s still here,” Dr Nolan replied.

Med Beds - this is very important. Med beds are a super high medical technology that can heal anything from a pimple to stage four cancer and maybe even revive corpses, so prepare to see your dead relatives soon. And yeah, they can de-age you.

They were invented by Nikola Tesla or made by using alien technology.

Now, it is important to spread this information so that elites release the med beds, or vote for Trump who will release them if he becomes the president.

Until then you can use Med Bed ointments and Med Bed cans that are based on that technology that can heal you.

Twitter Slammed After Fake Pentagon Explosion Jolts Stock Market: ‘Just Enabling Conspiracy Theory Creators at This Point’

The image of a billowing black cloud near an official-looking, fenced-in building was tweeted by the Blue-check-verified @BloombergFeed account, which, along with several other accounts, has since been suspended.

The confusion about Monday’s hoax confirmed what critics of Twitter Blue — which requires only a monthly subscription fee to be “verified” on the Elon Musk-owned platform — had feared, with fake accounts being confused for legitimate news outlets or companies.

Twitter Blue has been causing these kinds of costly mix-ups since it rolled out in November 2022, an account pretending to be pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly cost the company millions with a tweet that read, “Insulin is free now.”

“There is NO explosion or incident taking place at or near the Pentagon reservation, and there is no immediate danger or hazards to the public,” the Arlington, Virginia fire department and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency tweeted in response to the fake report.

‘Murderers’ and ‘criminals’: Meteorologists face unprecedented harassment from conspiracy theorists

“Murderers.” “Criminals.” “We are watching you.”

These are just a handful of the threats and abuse sent to meteorologists at AEMET, Spain’s national weather agency, in recent months. They come via social media, its website, letters, phone calls – even in the form of graffiti sprayed across one of its buildings.

Abuse and harassment “have always happened” against the agency’s scientists, Estrella Gutiérrez-Marco, spokesperson for AEMET, told CNN.

But there has been a rapid rise recently, coinciding with extreme weather in Spain. A severe drought has shrunk water levels to alarming lows, exacerbated by record-breaking April temperatures.

The abuse got so bad that in April, AEMET posted a video on Twitter calling for an end to the harassment, and asking for respect. Even the government intervened. Teresa Ribera, Spain’s minister for the ecological transition, posted on Twitter in support of the agency: “Lying, giving wings to conspiracy and fear, insulting … It is time to say enough.”

The harassment of meteorologists by conspiracy theorists and climate deniers is not a phenomenon confined to Spain.

National weather services, meteorologists and climate communicators in countries from the US to Australia say they’re experiencing an increase in threats and abuse, often around accusations they are overstating, lying about or even controlling the weather.

In Spain’s case, much of the trolling revolves around the rehashing of an old conspiracy theory: so-called “chemtrails.”
