Yup the same cynical mindset, And his only fucking solution is something that's already been shown to be wrong multiple freaking times Dodgy

Population control will not work  Dodgy

It's worse than cynical; it's more like willful ignorance.

Are you saying he promotes population control?  That's hilarious.  How's that supposed to work?  China tried that and the entire rest of the world called them evil for doing it.  You couldn't convince a handful of Americans to limit their reproduction.  Talk about rioting.  These southern rednecks would truly revolt if you threatened to limit their grandbabies.  To note, I personally believe having more than 2 children is irresponsible, but I wouldn't touch that issue with a 40 1/2 foot pole.

China had the right idea. Countries should set a dignified limit on their populations.

It's an honorable idea, but not compatible with liberal democracy.  The US tinkered with the idea half a century ago and that is now considered a dark and onerous experiment.  It won't happen again in our age.

Now if you can get church leaders to promote the idea, you might have a chance.

Setting limits isn' t the answer.

Promoting voluntary sterilization and getting rid of child rearing subsidies might go further.

But nobody will go along with practical solutions. (Neither the SO or I have kids - BY CHOICE.)

So we are doomed as a species.....

Population control is not practical in the slightest. It's the biggest fucking pipe dream ever for solving climate change

Doing nothing for climate while simultaneously cutting off aid to impoverished children. What could go wrong?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well, there seems to be some population control going on even in the USA, compared to the past

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What was OLB bluster that about EV advocates hating the poor again?

Apparently we can only subsidize oil - not child rearing.
