Yeah, it's a form of indoctrination, but so is secular education. At least religious indoctrination provides a framework for a person's (potential) spirituality.

At best, secular education leaves the "Gods?!?!?!" issue out of the curriculum. Mine did, at any rate (in the UK). It's the anniversary of 9/11 so some of the negative consequences of "providing a framework for a person's (potential) spirituality" are a....current topic.
