[Quranic Reflection]: God is the light of the universe.

RE: [Quranic Reflection]: God is the light of the universe.
So.... You can't look at something that is unsee-able or you'll go blind?

Am I paraphrasing that right?

What happens when we're presented with the concept of "You can't grasp the 'Unknowable'?" Does down that path lie madness?

I found a book which states there is no god. What makes the Koran more authoritative than my book?

Has your book been considered holy writ for over a thousand years?

No, but it was written after the invention of the scientific method/the printing press/widespread education/the internet/space travel etc etc etc and so by that measure is massively wiser, better informed and thus more reliable in all likelihood compared to the Koran, which was written in the age of "goat roasting and legal paedophilia."

No, somethings are just "too much" for our eyes to look at; we even discovered normal objects in the universe that can turn you blind if you look at them:

https://lasvegassun.com/news/2017/dec/02...sion-to-m/

Quote:Research performed on the International Space Station shows prolonged time in space can cause temporary, and sometimes permanent, blindness, said the space station’s chief scientist recently on “Nevada Newsmakers.”

“One of the things we discovered in the last 10 years is that some astronauts, when they go into space, actually have vision loss,” said Julie Robinson, the chief scientist of the ISS. “A few of those astronauts have permanent vision loss that isn't reversed when they turn to Earth.”

You will lose vision if you look directly at the sun for a long time, even.

Nothing would last for over a thousand years if it was bullshit.
