I have not read yet about a paper that claims to have detected him. He seems to be undetectable, and thus indistinguishable from a nonexisting god. After all, universe creating pixies also could be "the light of the universe" and its been those Pixies that are hitting our detectors all the time.
I prefer to believe in Pixies, at least they are far less violent than your tribal warlord god.

Can you provide any evidence that astronauts on the ISS were in the habit of looking directly at the sun? As a group, astronauts are smarter than the average bear - I can’t picture any of them thinking it would be a good idea to ‘look directly at the sun for a long time’.
