What reason does the psychiatrist give for you needing therapy? Plus your resistance to therapy and change may be an indication that you need therapy but ultimately it would be a waste of time.

Are you taking medication as prescribed as part of your treatment?
Yeah I am. I'm pretty sure I'm only being told to seek therapy because she wants me to "get with the program" and do what everyone else is doing.

If you're taking the medication as prescribed then you are aware that your behavior needs(ed) to change. So the 'why should I change comment'  was not valid.

Nice evasion with the "get with the program" response, but not unexpected. What specific reasons did the psychiatrist give for needing therapy that you are resisting?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

She told me I had "sexual hang ups"

Based on your posts here I'd agree with that, but I think there is more.

She agrees with me on the existence of the human soul, but doesn't believe there is a spirit realm, like I do. I'm not sure why she thinks going to therapy would change anything I believe, maybe it's just the sexual stuff she's concerned with.

Um, nope. Evading again, unless she thinks you need to work on your fixation with magical thinking and how that interferes with interacting with people IRL. The magical fixation is not something that can be addressed with medication alone.

Why would therapy change my belief in the spirit realm, or any other supernatural belief I hold?

I'm just throwing things against the wall here. Your magical fantasy life may be interfering with real life interactions and behaviors. The evasive 'get with the program' statement leaves me with little else. But I think there may be a something else but you'll continue to be evasive.

And I also think this conversation is over.

Ahriman's therapist has my sympathy.

No need. He said he has a psychiatrist that wants him to go to a therapist. He has declined the advice of the doctor and doesn't have a therapist.
