It’s a bit strange that the trans prisoners expect to be provided makeup. Especially when even cis women get barely any access to cosmetics. At best, it’s a limited supply and assortment from the commissary that might not actually be readily available.

I understand trans folk wanting their rights, but maybe it’d be better for optics to focus on the rights their cis counterparts have that they don’t. There’s always going to be some idiots who see marginalized groups fighting for human rights and think they’re asking got special treatment, I know, but it’d probably be best to make those types right as little as humanly possible.

US prisons are not run to the same standards as UK ones (which are themselves pretty low standards). For example UK prisons aren't allowed to use cruel and unusual punishment.

The barbiturates Missouri used to kill Amber were purchased from an anonymous vendor who was paid in cash, likely, some individual who made them via some homebrew concoction, as no reputable pharmaceutical compsny will sell them. The State of Idaho has some higher standards and canceled their December execution, as they could not find a legitimate supplier. More information on the MADP website.

As a transgender female, I am hardly noticed when in one of my full skirts, tee, sunglasses and sandals, but, when wearing jeans & a teeshirt, I have had cars stop at intersections for excessive periods of time to gawk at me, cars drive by slowly, people yell slurs at me on a few occasions, and one slap to my head from a moving vehicle (which I posted about here.)

If I ever stop posting here, know that someone either killed me or I died suddenly from some medical condition.

I'm so sorry that happens to you, Jehanne.  That's the concrete-bound, anti-conceptual mentality rearing its ugly head.  I'm a cyclist and I have people swerve and try to scare me and run me off the road.  I have people yell at me and throw things at me.  I never take it personally though because they really aren't saying anything about me but everything about themselves.

Then again, in those shows, the decoy is usually a barely-pubescent girl and not a barely-pubescent boy. At least, I've never seen one where the decoy was a boy.
