I don't think so. My daughter recently asked me what the harm was in referring to her as he. None at all - but plenty of harm in validating dysmorphic isssues wholly attributable to society rather than biology. Do you see your nipples and hate yourself, or do you see how society treats a girl and wish you were otherwise? If it's the second thing.....
Can it reinforce that shitty thing in some contexts? Certainly. Does that apply to the majority of people who levy such complaints - unlikely.

Greg Abbot has officially directed Family and Protective Services to begin investigating all trans children in Texas and prosecuting their parents as child abusers.
He has also instructed all teachers, doctors, and caregivers to begin reporting any trans students they see.

Florida is doing the same. Originally, the don't say gay bill they wrote had an exemption for outing kids if they thought a kids wellbeing may be jeopardized by informing their parents. Magats saw that and figured they could make it shittier, so they got rid of that exemption. As the bill reads now, educators will have a duty to report, and to enforce it.....drumroll please.....parents as bounty hunters suing the school.

Trans issues are the most serious social issues of our time, IMO. There is more bigotry against the transgender community than perhaps any other community.
