I had a really groovy gold, green, blue and red paisley tie that I wore to work, in '72. About 4" wide. My wife tossed it.

I still have my wide one which is purple and several other colours, in 45 degree stripes. Wore it with a light purple shirt and a double breasted off white cord jacket. I think that was the year I fell off my platform shoes and hurt my ankle. My wife was very "handy", member of The Hand Spinners and Weavers Guild, that kind of thing. She decided to re spring two of our dining room chairs seats. She needed cross braces. So naturally, she took my old, wide, hand tooled leather belts, cut them to size and nailed them to the frames. It goes without saying that I was so thrilled with the results I nearly shat. I loved paisley ties and shirts. I had a wonderful very wide seersucker tie my wife wouldn't let me wear in her company. So I gave it to JBTB my large Jolly Blue Teddy Bear. He seemed to like it. At least he never said he did not. RE: Ask a poor person

Don't get me started on how my wife's stuff is in the living room, most of the family room, 60% of the master bedroom, and then there's her whole sewing room. She has seven sewing machines, for cry-eye. They are everywhere.

It was narrow and knitted. It was khaki. The only shirt with which it could be worn was also khaki. Have never much cared for khaki except as part of camouflage (December 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm)Fireball Wrote:(December 1, 2021 at 10:27 pm)BrokenQuill92 Wrote: Men are such packrats As a craft girl we need that.
