Evolution "fails" AKA "where god seems to have got it wrong"

The example of the blood vessels for mammals being on the obstructive side of the cornea (as opposed to say, a squid's eye) is often given, but I was struck with a far more obvious example recently and reckon there must be dozens if not hundreds/thousands of others which highlight the "divine immaculate design" hypothesis fail, therefore thread.

Here's a start then - the combination of the respiration and food/drink ingestion tract. Choking? Death death death death etc...why weren't humans given a blow hole like a whale? Because evolution is blind, of course.

One of the better examples is the recurrent pharyngeal nerve. It is a cranial nerve that innervates the throat and surrounding structures. Starting at the head, it goes down into the chest, around the aorta (for no apparent reason), and then up to the throat when it could simply go directly to the throat.

It is even better in the giraffe: it *still* goes from the head all the way down to the chest, loops around the aorta and then back to the top of the neck to innervate the throat structures.

Any engineer that designed a communication pathway like that should be summarily shot.

The comeback is that God is not an engineer, and that He designed Nature in such a way as a way of allowing unbelievers to conclude that it was not designed lest the Elect be deceived, too much evidence for God's existence is bad for you, blah, blah, blah...

I wouldn't call it "stupid" so much as having an unconventional form of intelligence.

I do not know where you can go from here. In every thread that you have participated, you have been exposed as gullible, ignorant and of poor intellect. Sometimes all three in a single post.

I am unsure such a reputation can be rehabilitated.

I was once a Christian fundamentalist who, 30 years ago, argued on alt.atheism that God had planted all the fossils to make it appear that the Earth was created "with age", something that Charles R. Swindoll, an evangelical pastor, was teaching at that time, and, probably still is.
