A different perspective

RE: A different perspective
It can be argued, that this physical dimension (the one in which you’re reading this right now), exists for no other purpose, than to make you suffer. I’m assuming this is probably the case, especially after observing how many people seem to be of the attitude, that “suffering builds character”. Well if suffering builds character, and all life ever does is make you suffer, then perhaps living in this world, is all about building character, and nothing else is more important.

He’s got harsher words for people who like the NFL than child rapists and gay bashers, lol.

It can be more plausibly argued that it exists for no purpose at all.

Well yeah, maybe, but most humans seem to think there's a point to all this shit, and if there's going to be a point, then "building character" would be that point.

The universe doesn't exist for "you".  It doesn't care about you, it isn't your daddy, and it is a place inhospitable for life except for some rare planets, and even then life has to evolve to thrive in that niche.

The universe doesn't care what your character is, and evolution is a process that says that survival and reproduction results in continued existence for a species.

Most of the bible doesn't say that life is a test for getting into heaven.  It says that life was the intention, but that life was supposed to be a paradise, and was corrupted.  Suffering is a result of a corrupted world, and God can't wait to destroy the whole creation and create a new "physical" paradise.  It was only Paul who believed that the next life was spiritual and not physical.

You're not wrong. But if humans have decided they want/need to suffer, for a purpose that transcends this physical dimension, then that want/need to suffer, should be seen as a good thing, because through and because of suffering, people are creating their own afterlives.

The good ole soul forge. Guess what? The afterlife only exists to make you suffer, so that you can create your ultra afterlife -ad infinitum.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Nah, that's overly pessimistic.

...pessimistric about afterlives but not about life? idk bud, think that it would be pessimistic, if you believed in soul forging, to insist that the improvement stops.

There is still suffering in the afterlife, but it isn't the focal point of that mode of existence.
