Well, in context, the response to "we can't directly observe evolution" is..yes we can, and have.

Funny - every single evidentiary argument against evolution has been roundly refuted, without exception. And yet the yammerheads continue to rail against it.
As a younger fellow, I used to be something of a pro-evolution firebrand. Eventually, I got tired of shouting at the rain.
