The girl herself is in the care of child welfare. That's where the kid will end up too...and..if she's lucky, pregnant without a parent to consent..just like her mother.
I liked the part where politico tries to carry some water, saying that the courts could see her again - they just wanna give her some time. Well..hoped they scheduled that visit in the next five weeks...because then it won't matter that she's magically matured in that space of time. 15 week blanket ban....which is what the next court order about this is going to read like, almost certainly. Well done young lady for maturing, unfortunately we missed the deadline, it was last tuesday and the schedule was just too packed, you, know, right before the holiday of course. That said, on account of how you've matured, we're sure you'll make a wonderful mother and we look forward to meeting your child someday.
