I finished Allen's "As a Man Thinketh" in my philosophy book. I got annoyed at it. It was like the prosperity gospel of positive thinking. Very unrealistic advice.

Tomorrow I'll start Seneca's Letters from a Stoic alongside The Bhagavad Gita for Daily Living. Those will be more grounded selections.

Catching up on the Mitch Rapp series, started by Vince Flynn and continued by Kyle Mills and, most recently, Don Bently. If the drop off from Mills to Bently is as bad as the drop off from Flynn to Mills, I'm not sure I'll see the series to the finish line. The titles penned by Flynn are among the best thrillers I've read. Mills haven't been bad, but he's skewed the Mitch Rapp character to something barely recognizable. We;ll see how Bently does, but my hopes are not high at all.

In seeking a productive daily routine, I've dropped some books and added others.   Surprisingly, this has led to a reconsideration of Confucius' Analects, which I've previously ignored due to its traditionalist bent.

In addition, I think I will drop Twain for another day so that I can install a more engaging title to help me get moving on days that lethargy has me in her grip.
