The Absurd GOP

That they're not sworn to support it, and that even if they did incite an insurrection - it can't hold them accountable for that. Term limits are pedestrian.

Who is this Mad King?

Whoever it is, that was a lie. The constitution should apply to everyone, or there would be no such thing as impeachments. Plus, I’d bet they would apply that nonsense only to republicans presidents and not to democrat ones.

Trump is the Mad King

Oh, right. In that case, he is definitely wrong there.

That's for a handful of clerics on the bench to decide. They seem to be pretty keen on unaccountability.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well, in terms of Trump, even though anyone can run for president, I don't think he understands how the presidency overall should work. I mean, craziness and selfishness aside, I don't think he knows, let alone cares about the fact that even presidents have rules they must follow, and there must be plenty of rules he did not go by. It's like he did not learn about how U.S. presidency works in school. With that, Trump is the kind of guy who should never have been president for not knowing or caring how even presidents are supposed to follow rules. The USA is not supposed to be an absolute monarchy like Trump wants.

He didn't want to go by them, but in the end he went by them, because we have a division of powers in our government after all. Same thing will happen if he wins a second term.

Yeah, I realize that. What I said that you quoted was merely a guess. Still for many reasons that are too numerous to name, he is a bad influence on this country that is the United States of America.

Trump has no regard for the nation -- only for himself. That alone marks him as unsuitable as a leader.

Now I am seeing things on Twitter, or X, that Trump has been issued a gag order. And now many people on X (presumably his supporters) are saying that violates the first amendment.

Thing is, he is a criminal on trial, who is not only lying to the people who support him, but the government has curtailed and taken away rights for criminals before. What makes Trump so special? What is it the Trump supporters don't understand?
