Call me a cynic, but I don't have a lot of optimism for the USA's future.
I remain highly optimistic for America's future. Once the gun nuts, the bigots, and the fascists tear it completely down, we'll have a second American revolution, and rebuild. History has shown that the half-life of oppressive societies is relatively short.
However, in the short term, were fucked!

I'm confident the USA will bounce back in my children's lifetime, sure. I doubt I'll live to see it myself though.

I love the fact that between him Tweeting, "If arizona authorities don't find me by tomorrow morning..." (now deleted), and a post from the Arizona AG saying, "Papers have been served," 55 minutes passed.
