The Absurd GOP
RE: The Absurd GOP
They’re all huddled together in the ruins of Portland.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Mike Pence Just Threw Trump Under The Bus, Saying He "Endangered Me And My Family..." (msn.com)
In his first network television interview since the January 6 insurrection, former Vice President Mike Pence is calling out Trump for his role in the uprising. He sat down with ABC’s “World News Tonight” to discuss his thoughts on the repercussions of the former president urging his followers to storm the Capitol.

It took this long for Pence to finally open his damn mouth.  He had to wait to see just how big the red wave was going to be before he had the spine to speak.  I guess he thought he could make it through the pink puddle.  Mother must still have his balls in a jar.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It was obvious that Hunter Biden was going to be the focus of the next 2 years of investigations.

He has done a lot of shady things in his business life. The problem with congressional investigation is that this is a private individual. He isn't part of government. It isn't part of government oversight to look into the business dealings of individuals. That is the job of attorneys-general, and only when evidence of a crime exists.

This is just harassment of a private citizen for political purposes. If the Democrats get back the house in 2024, should they investigate Jared Kushner?

Yes, actually. He was..allegedly, a white house advisor in charge of all the things. That's where the reich wing obsession with hunter biden came from in the first place. To flood the zone with shit in anticipation of anyone looking under that botoxed rug pretending to be a human being. Spoiler alert, he sold out the us for trumpian gain.

Let's just assume that bidens kids traded on their fathers name, even though it's so completely out of character for powerful american families. Trump, and his entire criminal family, are traitors. Some people worry that the us may one day, soon, be over as we know it. I say it already is, based on the framing of this issue regardless of who it is communicating it.

A fuck-ton of former Nixon White House officials went before the Ervin Committee and then went to jail.

The funny thing is though. Not all Republicans are on board with this. I think it's just going to spit their party up even more.

Nothing they can do about it. They know the shit is toxic, but they also know they'll get primaried by loons if they don't go along with the toxic shit.

Ya hate to see it.

It's hilarious that the party that complained about "partisan investigations" and went on and on about fighting inflation and crime is now not going to bother doing anything about either and are going to launch obviously partisan investigations. It's almost as if they didn't actually care about those things..... Dodgy

Yeah, the Republican Party are massive hypocrites. They'll refuse to confirm any Supreme Court Justice that Obama appointed to replace Scalia and pull out some bullshit rule about how they shouldn't appoint a judge in an election year, even if the election is more than half a year away, then when RBG dies weeks prior to the next election, they approve Amy Coney Barnett in record time. They'll do everything they can to hobble the post office to curb mail-in voting due to some concerns about voter fraud, then Trump encourages his voters to vote twice. Hell, any issue they claim to care deeply about, they're almost certainly going to support policies that make said issues worse.
