While congressional Republicans hold the global economy hostage by refusing to raise the U.S. debt ceiling without major spending cuts that would hurt the working class, a federal analysis revealed Tuesday that GOP plans to extend 2017 tax breaks for the wealthy could add nearly $3.5 trillion to the nation's deficit. Expensive welfare programs are harmful to the economy. Cutting them would solve deficit problem.
Government sponsored childcare clearly reduces productivity, and if we got rid of it, there's no way that would create any deficit of any kind.

China has low welfare spending and less worker protections than the US and its economy is growing very fast.
Imagine how much faster it would grow if they stopped doing tax crime to their job creators.

Republicans should treat tax evaders the same way Democrats treat illegal immigrants.
