Quote:One Republican lawmaker, who has heard Greene use that word multiple times to describe Boebert, told The Daily Beast that Greene has been at this campaign for some time.

“Calling her a whore, that’s not new,” this GOP lawmaker said. “She’s been doing that for a while.”

Another GOP lawmaker also witnessed Greene refer to Boebert as a “whore.”

This second lawmaker additionally claimed Greene had trashed Boebert in a conversation with Donald Trump, though this member had no knowledge of the specific language Greene used in that conversation—just that the two had discussed Boebert. Yet another GOP member who speaks to Trump told The Daily Beast that Greene had, in fact, made “disparaging” remarks about Boebert to the former president, though again, this person didn’t have specifics about what Greene had said to Trump.

When The Daily Beast asked Greene about these accusations this week, the Georgia Republican didn’t deny them. Instead, she went on a tirade against this reporter.

Their relationship became strained as Greene cozied up to Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). During the speakership battle in January, the two had a screaming match in a bathroom just off the House floor, as Greene criticized Boebert for not supporting McCarthy’s bid.

Then, in June, Greene called Boebert a “little bitch” on the House floor.

Wait a tic, that was the same app Josh Duggar had on his computer. I know that not everyone's going to have the sort of technical knowhow to create a Linux partition on their hard drive, but it's probably not a good sign that one of the first things I learned about a piece of software is how to render it useless and allow you to download "Daisy's Fucking Destruction" in peace.

Pot meet kettle.

I also just found out about a somewhat similar incident: one prominent Republican Congressman recently heavily implied that another House Republican (specifically Josh Smith) was a closeted gay man. That Republican Congressman who outed the other? None other than Matt Gaetz.

Yes, the same person who's been implicated in sex trafficking and sex with minors still thinks he has the sort of moral high ground to make this sort of shit work. Then again, this is the Republican electorate we're talking about.

I’ve read a few articles that said that the Republicans taking three weeks to elect a new Speaker of the House would be a sure sign of this exact thing, but, then again, I suspect that, eight years ago, many of these same pundits were watching Donald Trump’s campaign announcement and thought “Wow, I guess he just announced his campaign and completely torpedoed its chances of winning before he even left the podium.”

Gaetz, what with all his lip service to Biblical platitudes, is actually being pretty morally consistent: homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Bible, while human sex trafficking is spoken of in absolutely glowing terms.

Daily Kos is making lists of Republicans convicted of sex crimes. They are on page 48 now with 1200 Republicans on the list

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
