It sounds like they succeeded.
How horrible!
Still, it would sure solve a lot of problems if all the Trumptards would do this.

And, of all the legal issues Trump is dealing with, he chose the fucking hush money trial? And he didn't wait for the trial to actually start to do this; Mother Superior just jumped the gun just as they chosen the jurors.

Election Fraud Is Real!!
Quote:Austin Smith, an Arizona state Republican representative who has previously complained of election fraud, dropped out of a state House race amid allegations that he forged signatures on his nominating petition sheets.
Quote:In a statement on Thursday, Smith announced that he will no longer be seeking reelection, following a lawsuit filed on Monday by Arizona voter James Ashurst. The suit alleges that roughly 100 of the 826 signatures on Smith's nominating petition sheets were forged, with "many of those signatures bear[ing] a striking resemblance to Smith's."

There’s a rumour (and at this point that’s all it is) that if Greene’s motion to vacate costs Johnson his job, a dozen Republican members are going to resign in protest. This would hand the House majority to Democrats.
True or not, it’s good insurance for the current Speaker.

Several Dems have been saying for a while now that if Johnson gets aid to Ukraine, they will vote against vacating.
If the rumour in question turns out to be true, they may want to re-think that.
