I live in Canada and I do. Because I freaking know I'll be getting a lot more than warmth when the climate shifts erratically. Freezing temperatures for a few months is a boon by contrast.

Sounds like Dmitri is crying about poor countries not paying their fair share for the damage they cause to the climate, and arguing that the climate getting warmer is a net benefit out of the other. Of course if it's good that the climate is getting warmer, there's no actual damage to punish. If there's actual damage to punish, it's not good that the climate is getting warmer.

Now all you have to do is decide whether climate change is good or bad, and then you can have a consistent opinion on the matter of funding.

My consistent opinion is that the US shouldn't pay for climate change.

What happened to fair shares, proportionate to damage? The us is responsible for either the majority of carbon emissions in a historic model, or 14% in a current use scheme.

It will not be good and the US should help pay to prevent the damage
Quote:If there's actual damage, poor countries should provide their fair share of funding.
There will be damage and no poor countries should only have to pay within their means. What you are proposing isn't fair at all.

Then your position is silly. The US should pay within its means like every other country.
