Why you can't find God

I'll dissect it when I wake up more, though the first failings are insulting your target audience and quoting from a contradictory book of myths.

There's really no need to repost my entire "long, painful" post if that's all you're going to say.

I suggest you reexamine my post to determine exactly who my target audience is, because it's not atheists, who do not comprise the entirety of posters here. I only address atheists at the very end.

No, there's a difference here, Angrboda. I do not presume to have all of the answers in myself. My knowledge comes from God, not myself. I do not presume, as TGN does, to attain wisdom from myself or from other men and declare some truth or untruth about God.

I receive the truth about God from God Himself, therefore there is no hubris involved. You're free to believe or not believe me when I say such things, of course, but it doesn't change the fact that I don't claim to have figured anything out on my own. It's all the grace of God.

And you figured that out all by yourself did you?

Actually, the purpose of this Forum is ‘friendly discussion and debate’.

I invite you to re-read your opening post and tell me - honestly - if you think that qualifies as ‘friendly’. You can’t really shit on people and then get all butthurt when they shit back.

Oh, please. Do not try to sell to me that there is anything even closely resembling friendly discussion and debate on this forum, except when you atheists are stroking each other's egos. I've witnessed some of the most vile behavior possible through the written word from the atheists on here, and calling people "fools" qualifies as unbridled brotherly love in comparison.

I'm not "butthurt." I simply tell the truth about what I see.

And frankly, saying "you were never a true Christian" isn't an excuse. It's an explanation. An excuse infers that there is some fault on behalf of the philosophy, when I have conceded no fault at all.

Anytime beliefs or claims are involved, there is a need for defending them, whether with reason or excuses.  You've not provided any actual reason why atheism, science, or philosophy can justifiably be considered any different.  Thus I stand by my characterization of your response as an example of the ad hoc fallacy and you've done nothing but provide a continuing stream of ad hoc non sequiturs to disguise the fallacious nature of your response.

As to my barely addressing your long and carefully constructed original post, you made it clear that only the last part of that was addressed to atheists such as myself and so complaining that I didn't address a set of points which you didn't intend for me to respond to simply marks you for the asshole that you are.

Again, you're speaking too vaguely for me to understand your meaning clearly.

And actually, you're wrong about my original post. All of that material that you responded to was not intended for atheists, which should have been clear from the context.

The only part explicitly intended for the atheist was about wicked people speaking evil of the Lord on here and thinking they can just get away with it (to be fair, it was also intended for the false Christians on here). None of you have in the past, neither will any of you in the future.

Then you need your eyes looked at. Dodgy

And Christians on this forum has said a great deal more than simply call people here fools. So spare me the "Mean Atheist" "Poor Picked On Christain" nonsense often they are the ones that start with the abuse and the insults and we simply respond in kind. Dodgy

Which only makes your complaining that I didn't respond to it all the more heinous on your part. You know, they say confession is good for the soul, but it's taking an axe to your credibility.

I just explained this in my previous response, but you framing it this way provides an opportunity for me to illustrate something.

You see God as a "garbage fire" unworthy of worship because you presume to understand reality. In your arrogance, you see things as only explainable a certain way, like how could a good God allow a child to die of cancer? You think it's just cut and dry, and don't pause to consider that maybe there is a valid reason this is happening, a purpose that provides a benefit that you can't see from your limited perspective.

It's hubris, TGN. You think everything is obvious, when you're dealing with a being Who literally doesn't even have a beginning, Who is so far beyond your intelligence and nature and perspective that you may as well not even qualify as an ant. And you presume to have all the answers! It's amazing, really. You'll realize it someday.

FSM forgives you for following a dark path

You really don't seem to understand. It was the fact that you responded to what I was saying, but with no substance, that was the problem. Afterwards you seem to have become confused about what you actually responded to.

I think you either have some reading comprehension issues or I'm not communicating with you very well. Not sure what the case is, but I've lost motivation to continue this conversation.
