Yes and no. When I was still Hindu, I was one of the most atheistic, secular Hindus you would be likely to meet. And my local UU church, while at some level associated with matters of the human spirit, is known as the most atheist UU church in the Twin Cities.

Back when Amazon had discussion forums, the Atheist Forum had a small group of regular posters who did everything they could to be unwelcoming to Christians. They could be really nasty.

Eventually they drove off everybody who didn't agree with them exactly.

Within a week they were discussing how to invite some Christians onto the forum so they'd have somebody to talk to.

Chuang Tzu said:

"The seasons end and begin; the generations change and transform. Inauspicious and auspicious fortune falls
upon you, sometimes unwelcomed, other times welcomed.

Settle into your own views, argue with others, at times condemn those who are upright, then those who are bent.

You should be like a great marsh land with space for a hundred kinds of trees. Or be like a great mountain  where the trees and grasses rest on the same ground."

You can't be an "atheistic, secular" Hindu. You either believe in the gods of Hinduism and accept the spiritual implications of that belief, or you don't.

Meh, I don't mind when we have fewer morons or fewer christians. It's not as though either thing has value by simple virtue of being, or that we'll have nothing to bicker about without them - this thread as an example.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Please explain how someone can be a secular atheist and still believe in any Hindu gods.

You can't.

Right about your strawman? Sure. Whatever. You realize that's the whole point of a strawman, to pretend you're right when you're not?

Well I'm not pretending to be anything, I am right because you can't be a "secular Hindu", I mean you literally can't, that's not how that works.
