Watched a doco on the Monster of Iliamna Lake Monster http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iliamna_Lake_Monster and was astounded by the necessity of firearms for the safety and survival of people there on it's shores. Grizzllies seems to be a huge issue come the Salmon Run.

Firstly because you are relying on something period... and secondly because hands are far less immediately threatening than hands + knife or hands + gun.

Firstly, I think only cowards carry weapons, because either they are afraid of getting into a fair fight and losing, or they know they're too weak to stand up in a straight fight with anyone. We have a new water spray system that covers criminals from head to toe, makes it easier to catch them. Not sure what it's called by my cousin has it, very hard to wash off. Better technology, the more we can prevent crime. Don't need weapons. Carrying weapons works over there, but over here, NOT carrying weapons also works. Two different methods, both work. One side prefers to carry weapons the other does not.

Dotard, I have already once kindly remind the crew we were off topic, I myself being guilty, suggested another pre-existing topic to continue the discussion, but ACE told me he was giving it a break..which appeared to be for a few hours before he jumped back onto the discussion of NOT discussing Arizona gun laws.

There are stations where cops are constantly watching. That was actually why they responded so quickly when a fight broke out in town, between too lads. One CCTV cam spotted them and within a couple of minutes, the cops were there to stop it. Sorry to hear you hate the system so much. I feel quite safe with them around, knowing a police officer is watching and ready to call in support.

And, personally speaking, those who would give up liberty and privacy for the sake of security deserve neither.
