You don't learn Ancient Greek so that you could speak it with somebody. You learn it so you can study the Bible in its original language. You want to disprove Christianity, right? Well, you probably need to do some Bible study to do that.

You really don’t. It helps, but it isn’t necessary.

Jaysus. Try ‘revelation 20:4 original Greek’.

Now I am even more confused. The original Greek has the word ἔτη, which is the nominative, accusative and vocative plural of ἔτος (year). So, why didn't Jerome simply translate it as "annos", which is the accusative plural, but instead chose "annis"?

I don’t know. I don’t care. Maybe it was meant to be an infarcative gerund.

Not really. You need to learn from a real scholar what the hundreds of books of revelation were all about, and what's up with this one.
Dr. Elaine Pagels, Princeton. A real scholar.

Gerund of... which verb? Gerund is a noun made from a verb, the "-ing" nouns in English.

Really? You think I should listen to an hour-and-a-half long video in a foreign language (English) without subtitles?

Studying the Bible isn't necessary to disprove Christianity?
