Studying the Bible isn't necessary to disprove Christianity?

Don't you have homework to do?

I think I understand why the Greek original used the accusative. What escapes me is why the Latin Vulgate used the ablative (or is it dative?).

Really? You think I should listen to an hour-and-a-half long video in a foreign language (English) without subtitles?

Well obviously, you're not competent to do anything yourself.
And BTW, yes I do. Then get her books.
She is accepted as the world expert on the subject.
If you can't be bothered to do the work, ... then fuck off.

You don't learn Ancient Greek so that you could speak it with somebody. You learn it so you can study the Bible in its original language. You want to disprove Christianity, right? Well, you probably need to do some Bible study to do that.

All you need to do is learn some basic history to do that.

Well, no, not really. In September, there will be a written exam in cybernetics which I might attend, so there is a slight pressure on me to study cybernetics. But I find low-level Biblical criticism to be much more interesting.

No, it isn't. Christianity can be disproved logically and historically from just its basic premises. It happens on this forum all the time. Reading the Bible is a great help, but deep study isn't required. Similar to how one doesn't need a degree in physics to show that rocks don't fall upwards.

Not to us it's not.

Why not? You frequently post links to stuff you've written in Croatian without a translation. You think everyone on this forum should learn Croatian?

Boru

It's not the same thing to link to something written in a foreign language and to link to something spoken in a foreign language.
