Curiosity prompted me to finally try Burger King's Impossible Whopper featuring--the most meat-like veggie burger known to man! Lol
I ate over half of it. Tasted like exactly hamburger to me--I thought they'd fucked my order up at first. Texture was the same too. Upon closer inspection, I noted that it didn't actually smell like beef though. More like oatmeal, or maybe rice. Also, it's color was a tad lighter than a beef patty. I'd order an Impossible Burger again--Preferably a less sloppy, non-fast food one though.

It's a fairly standard human response to feel empathy for the misery of another.
But if the suffering is judged to be self inflicted, the empathy can be switched off. I think it's because people feel empathy for the sufferer because they think, 'that could be me'. But if the sufferer is doing something they would not do, they think, 'that wouldn't happen to me, they don't deserve my sympathy'. Like, you rush over to help an elderly gentleman who has collapsed, obviously due to some medical ailment. Turns out he's just a disgusting old wino who's too pissed to stand up. It's that part where the empathy just snaps off, like it was never real. I just find it interesting. 
Watching The Never Ending Story for the first time in preparation for NeverEnding Story III: Escape From Fantasia (which will be a part of the Deep Hurting Project). Well, the effects are quite good (though the Rock Biter looks like an off-brand Muppet), but as for the story itself, is this one of those things you just had to grow up with in order to appreciate?

To be honest, while I love fantasy, TNES is one of two mainstream fantasy movies I’ve switched off and haven’t bothered trying to watch again. The other is The Dark Crystal.
