Honestly, due to the British use compared to the American use of "precedence", and the ambiguous difference between the use of the word itself between British and American people, I think that people should simply just drop the whole "precedence" word like a fucking hot potato, and instead just use analogs of the same term for it: "priority".

This is looking away from the similar spelling between "precedence" and "precedent", but that certainly isn't helping either, I'd imagine.

So, if you think about something in priority terms - be it for causality, hierarchy, chronologically, sociologically, rank, or whatever - I implore you, use analogs of that term of priority, and simply just forego the use of "precedence".

If you agree, here's a link to the thesaurus of "priority" (and just ignore the "precedence" synonyms):
https://www.thesaurus.com/browse/priority?s=t

IMO, the "precedence" word should be taxed, or straight out banned.

P.S. This is for you, Boru, BTW.

I think this puts the final nail in the coffin of the theory that people are basically good.

RE: Random Thoughts
My confidence in Alphabet Inc. & the good tech people behind Google Drive just increased significantly. I had, in sheer recklessness permanently deleted a Google Drive document, which for some stupid reason, I had no backup of. I didn't even notice this until more than 2 weeks later when I returned to add some crap to it - and it was nowhere to be found on Google Drive. I had like 5 different hypothesis about its whereabouts, and all of them turned up short, until after I reviewed the activity log, that I had perma-deleted the document. So I submitted a support ticket, and sure enough, even more than 2 weeks of staying "off the grid", the Google Drive tech peeps were able to restore it. Gooddamn I'm glad right now.

New avatar.

I had six chapters of a project written that had been on the back burner for many months now. Just had a revelation this evening as to how I should progress with it rather than any of the other projects also sitting on the back burners.

Is that related to Seagram's 7 Crown?  Hehe
