It rained here most of last week.  The soil is black clay which gets crammed into the dogs' paws and therefore ends up all over the floors.  If not in wet smears, then as it dries and little clumps are deposited everywhere.  It's sticky and nearly impossible to wash off the paws.   I finally got the floors back to something resembling clean and now it's raining again.  I sure am glad we got rid of all the carpet in the house a few years ago.  <sigh>

I was sick a lot when we first bought this house. We had the carpets cleaned something like 6 times, by ourselves and professionally. But that never got the cat smell out, and our little dogs were still peeing everywhere. I'm badly allergic to cats, and we finally had the carpets removed and hard floors put in. No more sickness, just like that. Vacuuming a hardwood floor is a snap.

When husband gripes about how much fur he vacuums up it's hard not to remind him that half of that could be ground into carpet if he'd have had his way.

With three dogs, a cat, and two parrots it was a dumb idea to put carpet back in the house.

FYI - parrots are dusty creatures.  As new feathers grow in the sheaths get broken down into a powder that manages to get everywhere.

I don't think it's necessary that life have some ultimate purpose, or that you have some grand goal or ambition. What's wrong with just wandering through life looking for interesting stuff?

That looks so great! There is no way a conventional board would give you that much action on such small waves (Not that I'm an expert but I've seen enough surfing videos).

John Boyega is known for criticizing the creators of SW for not knowing what to do with his character. *DUH* The whole point of the last SW movie was actors standing in front of cameras and going "Aren't we all glad that we made it! We are in a SW movie which means that millions of people will see us and we will make a shitload of money." Along with everyone else working on that movie.
