Kaeden Griffen, a 6th grader from Tennessee, and his mom -- who was homeschooling the boy -- decided to crack the case by putting red lipstick on the buttholes of their 2 felines. The cats went here and there in the house and mother and son chronicled their results.

Called off work for tonight, because I can barely walk. Going to have the foot looked at by a doctor tomorrow.

Pretty good vid by Michael about the nature of reasoning. If you have a half hour to spare, I recommend watching it.
We take reasoning, thinking we're right, when any group of people, is better at reaching a good reasoned conclusion, than a single person could. But, of course, 50 million people reaching the wrong conclusion is still worse than a single individual with the right conclusion. It's more about the process of reasoning than reasoning itself.

Interesting double feature idea: Beauty and the Beast[/url] and [i]When We Were Kings. Why?
Basically, what Ali’s doing most of the fight (the famed rope-a-dope technique) is what Belle’s doing to get the Beast to soften up. And it only works if you’ve got the strength to take it, you have to take so much punishment that people are convinced you’re going to die and still be able to think “C’mon, I can do this all night!” Of course, maybe a spell with a ticking clock and bunch of anthropomorphised appliances with an incentive to help you along might help, too.

boss: Would you mind reconciling some credit card accounts?
me: Not at all, just give me access to the statements online
boss: I think this is what you need, bye, going away for a week or so
me - pounding head on the desk when discovering some accounts haven't been reconciled since mid -2019. Job security I suppose.

That fight proved once and for all that Ali could take a punch. A haymaker from even a tired Foreman would have knocked most of us doolalley.

Got a text today from somedamnbody that said they had a plan if I wanted to lost 29 pounds. I sent a text back saying I weigh 110 pounds and doubt very much that I need to lose 29. They didn't want to talk any more.
