Pity "Enterprise" was so poorly written. It's the only Trek I haven't watched (after the first 5 episodes).
Scott Bakula is also a favourite of mine.

Like every Trek spinoff, it took time to find it's legs. UPN was too impatient with the show (and too badly manged) for any real success. Good theme, bad timing.

Hallowe’en is rapidly approaching. If you plan to decorate, PLEASE do not use plastic skeletons. In addition to being largely manufactured by child labour, the plastic in these is not recyclable, so they tend to end up in landfills. Fresh, locally sourced skeletons are a much better option. Save the planet.

I've often thought that I might enjoy being a bus driver. In the past, the three months required to obtain a commercial license as well as competition from drivers without my history made it seem unrealistic. However, there are bus driver shortages across multiple industries thanks to the pandemic. I'd still have to worry about it messing with my eligibility for welfare benefits, but it's more possible now than at any other time.

Bursting with creative energy today. So excited to write! That fever! A tickling antsy feeling in my arms and fingers, wanting to push everything else aside and get to my keypad. That jubilant, rolling thrill in my chest as I think of awful things to have happen to my characters, to bring forth that dramatic fruit and juicy conflict. Who needs drugs when the Muse is kissing you, filling you up?

Why is it so much easier to fall asleep on the couch unintentionally than it is to fall asleep in the bed intentionally?

It seems to me, the reason why people fall asleep in front of the TV (in the living room), is because they are exerting their brains by following something on TV, which is tiring. Also, it is much easier to fall asleep if you watch a movie than a TV show because movies are usually more complex and harder to follow. That's why you may watch some movie and suddenly feel like you're falling asleep, but then switch the channel to some sitcom and you don't feel sleepy anymore, and even awoke a little bit. So as people get more tired they watch less and less demanding TV programs.

That's why I also have some movies that I can only watch tired, like "Escape Plan" (2013) which would bore me if I wasn't tired.

And that's why I use that principle as a trick to fall asleep. If I am tired but can't fall asleep, I put on some podcast which is tiring and it puts me to sleep.

Me and a friend were discussing what we would do if offered the chance to be granted 3 wishes. My wishes were 1 billion dollars, an in-shape body that would never go out of shape, and the permanent extinction of all cockroaches on the planet. My friend was puzzled with that last wish. He said, "Why would you waste a wish on something like that?", and I told him that the wish wasn't just for me, but for everyone who has to deal with roaches, and hates them. I told him, people living in impoverished areas, where there are typically a lot of roaches, would be glad that I made that wish. So I wanted to do something nice for them. My friend didn't understand why I would do this. I'm a much more selfless person than him. I consider it a point of pride.
