I just don't know about this new generation of cats...but now I understand why we can't get rid of the damn squirrels that want to move into our attic.
There was a gray and white cat sitting on the fence about a third of the way to the back of the yard. (We have a corner lot so the yard is pretty big.) There was a smallish squirrel sitting on the far corner of the fence. It was a stare off. Finally someone made a move. The squirrel scampered along the fence toward the cat. The cat moved only enough for me to see that it had a tag on its collar. The squirrel stopped about three feet from the cat then swished its tail and was probably chattering. Still a standoff. Husband let the dogs out and they raised enough hell to cause the squirrel to run back and forth till it finally tried to jump into the Mesquite tree...it missed but managed to scamper up unscathed. The cat jumped onto the neighbors' roof and headed on down the street. My thought that an outdoor cat might help keep the population of squirrels under control will be rethought. Had our old cat Murphy still been alive he'd have fought the other cat and probably eaten the squirrel to get the energy to torment the dogs. That damn cat came home after a three week walkabout with a bullet in his chest and still lived another few years. That was a real cat.
That's TeeTee sticking her tongue out at you.
What's in the pitcher,................... other than cat detritus?

I feel as though I am one brain cell away from officially losing my mind.
