It's kinda of sad and disturbing that they need their beliefs constantly reinforced, basically living in an echo chamber.

There are people who come in here and claim the same of this site. I don't recall ever seeing one of them change their minds...or ours They think they have the answer, and don't understand why they are questioned in their beliefs. They will outright lie in ways that are easily disproved, if those lies are checked out. Yes, kind of sad, really.

I have an old friend that I was very close to for many years. Our fathers went to high school together so we knew one another as kids. As we got older things progressed to a friends with benefits sort of thing. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable relationship that went on for years. We both married other people, had kids, life got in the way, and we lost touch. Recently we reconnected through FB and I am so disappointed that he is now full on MAGA and conspiracy theorist. I don't know what happened, but then, we didn't spend a whole lot of time talking politics in our teens and twenties.
I am pretty disappointed. He was a good guy who was important in my life for a long time. Now he is someone I wouldn't even want to sit down to lunch with. 
I will buy Vlodimir Zelenskyy a beer if he punches TFG in the junk on camera.
Never particularly been a fan of Will Ferrell. But if he has maintained his friendship with Harper, he can't be all bad.
