I suspect than many have a "religious impulse" (not sure what that even means) but not all

At it's skinniest form - the well-observed tendency to organize our groups from paleolithic family units all the way up to modern societies around ideas about what it means to live a good life, what you cannot do and what you cannot fail to do. That we as a species tend to have an idea of the way the world is, and the way it should be. The way we would make it, if we could.

Without knowing what you mean by religious and spiritual, it's hard to make heads or tails of this.
